Flexiroof – The Bones

Built for the Elements. Designed for Life.

Every Flexiroof is built on clever Kiwi engineering that delivers lasting performance with effortless simplicity. At its core is our patented Tiny Arch™ system — the secret behind its strength, silence, and watertight design. Crafted from recycled, locally extruded aluminium and UV-resistant Eurolite 3™ polycarbonate, Flexiroof is made to handle New Zealand’s harshest conditions. It blends sustainability, precision engineering, and timeless design to create an outdoor space that looks beautiful, performs flawlessly, and truly lasts.
Durable and
reliable design.

Elegant, enduring design, and proudly NZ-made.

Always Dry

Flexiroof sheets are clamped, not pierced. Locked securely within the Tiny Arch™ rafter system for a seamless, watertight finish.

Water is channelled naturally through the centre of each sheet, away from joins and edges, keeping your space dry year-round.

Every connection uses 316 stainless steel fixings and Tiny Arch’s thermal management technology to stay tight, durable, and maintenance-free.

No leaks. No fuss.

Sun-Ready & UV-Safe

Flexiroof uses Eurolite 3™ 3 mm polycarbonate, sourced from Brisbane, Australia — up to 250 × stronger than glass and 15 × stronger than acrylic (Perspex™).

This premium glazing material delivers long-lasting clarity, dimensional stability, and protection from New Zealand’s harsh UV environment, blocking 99.9 % of UVA & UVB rays.

Combined with Tiny Arch™ thermal management, the sheets resist cracking, creaking, and warping — ensuring beauty and performance endure, year after year.

Wind & Snow Performance

Engineered for New Zealand’s most demanding conditions, every Flexiroof shelter combines structural-grade 6061-T6 aluminium framing with interlocking polycarbonate sheet technology.

Wind Performance

The Tiny Arch™ locking system forms a continuous rafter-to-sheet connection, dramatically reducing uplift forces. When installed to Flexiroof specifications — including correct footing and fixing requirements — the system is engineered to withstand wind pressures in accordance with NZS 3604:2011 up to Very High wind zones. That’s proven reliability for coastal, elevated, and exposed suburban sites.

Snow Load Performance

Flexiroof’s dual-extrusion rafter profile evenly distributes loads across the structure. The system has been assessed for snow loads up to 1.5 kPa, typical of alpine environments such as Queenstown, Wānaka, and Tekapo.

Engineering

Clever design and precise engineering ensures your Flexiroof won’t rust, warp, fade, or fail — maintaining strength and beauty for decades, in even the toughest conditions.

Patented “Tiny Arch™” Innovation

At the heart of every Flexiroof is our patented Tiny Arch™ system — the key to its strength, silence, and watertight performance. By harnessing geometry and friction rather than fasteners or sealants, Tiny Arch™ allows each sheet to expand and contract naturally with temperature changes. This eliminates stress points, leaks, and noise while directing water away from joins through its curved profile. The result is a clean, architectural form that maintains its integrity and appearance for decades. Tiny Arch™ isn’t just clever — it’s essential when it comes to shelter.

Design Assurance & Structural Integrity

Each Flexiroof is built from 6061-T6 aluminium, heat-treated for exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, and durability — the same alloy used in marine, aerospace, and architectural applications.

Extrusions are produced locally by McKechnie Aluminium, New Zealand’s only extruder with an in-house remelt casthouse. Over 80 % recycled content and Toitū carbonreduce certification confirm a low-carbon, sustainable process under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality and environmental standards. Every shelter is backed by a 15-year product warranty, with confidence built on nearly 15 years of in-market performance nationwide.

Corrosion Resistance & Longevity

Designed for New Zealand’s coastal, alpine, and urban environments:

● 6061-T6 aluminium — structural-grade, lightweight, and highly corrosion-resistant.

● 316 stainless-steel fasteners — marine-grade, resistant to salt and moisture.

● Eurolite 3™ polycarbonate sheets — virtually unbreakable, UV-stabilised, and flame-resistant.

Together, these materials ensure Flexiroof won’t rust, warp, fade, or fail — maintaining strength and beauty for decades in even the toughest conditions.
