Builderbeam is a very useful and surprisingly strong product being made of 6005 T6 aluminium (that's the same as most ladders - and 70% stronger than window joinery aluminium), but it is just 800g /m and naturally it has limitations ...
There are 1000s of ways this fantastic product can be used and whilst it is surprisingly robust we can not know how it is going to be used, so we can not and will not give advice or technical information as to spans and loads, fitting, fasteners etc.
We have no plans to get any engineering analysis done.
All we can say is you need to test yourself and make your own decision but we have noted that 2.4m beams seem to be nicely self-supporting for many uses - but that can only be annecdotal observation - not recommendation.
3.6m, 4.8m and 6.0m beams certainly need to be connected to something adjacent which is is certainly structural like a a house ... or a Flexiroof shelter!
